ArrangerX is the instrument you play. The SoundFonts and styles you choose give it its character.

Start with the included sounds, then add compatible content from your own collection. Sound and accompaniment quality will vary with the files you load.

The current development build includes GeneralUser GS, a General MIDI SoundFont with additional GS sounds. Other compatible .sf2 SoundFonts can be loaded. An XG-labelled collection is not a promise of complete XG sound or effect reproduction.

These are development test results as at 9 October 2026, not a guarantee for every file or keyboard model. Final release compatibility will be confirmed before launch.

Style import testing
Your style filesWhat has been tested
YamahaSFF1 and SFF2 / SFF GE import and playback tested with sample styles. Sound and effect mapping can differ from the original keyboard.
KorgLegacy Pa-series .STY import and playback tested, including PA1X material and an official eight-style bank. Direct Pa5X support is not confirmed.
KetronInitial .KST importer passes section and event checks on a marked MIDI template. Further musical playback testing is needed.
CasioInitial .AC7 importer tested with CT-X, CDP-S350 and MZ-X samples. Some chord rules are approximated; further musical testing is needed.
RolandLegacy .STL and experimental .STH importers pass structural tests. Genuine-file and listening validation is still required before broad compatibility is promised.
Technics and other formatsNative-file compatibility is not yet confirmed. A style converted into another format does not establish native support.

Import support does not grant permission to copy, share or resell someone else’s content. Use content in accordance with its licence. Manufacturer style libraries are not included with ArrangerX unless distribution rights have been secured.

Platform testing
SystemCurrent position
Windows 11, 64-bit Intel / AMDPrimary development platform. Tested on the ThinkPad X1 Extreme, T450 and T460. Audio response depends on the computer, audio device and settings; testing continues.
Windows 10The diagnostic and current runtime are intended to run on Windows 10 version 1809 or later. Full ArrangerX release testing is not complete. Windows 11 remains the recommended platform.
Linux Mint 22.3, 64-bitArrangerX’s Linux compatibility build has run on the ThinkCentre M93p using Wine 9.0. This is a Wine-based build, not a native Linux application.
Other Ubuntu-based Linux desktopsMay work with the compatibility package, but have not all been tested. Run the Linux check on your exact installation. The current download is an amd64 .deb and requires Wine 9 or newer.
Mac and Windows ARM / SnapdragonNot yet verified for release. Do not assume compatibility from another computer’s result.

Screen space: smaller screens use a compact layout. The multi-bar display needs more usable screen space than 1366 × 768; display scaling and the taskbar can reduce that space. The free check tells you what to expect.

Audio: a successful computer check is a useful guide, not a measurement of the complete delay from pressing your keyboard to hearing your speakers. Try your own keyboard and audio setup when a trial is available.

Your privacy

ArrangerX is operated by Leigh Buxton. We use your information to provide the website, answer questions and send updates you request. We do not sell your information. Last updated: 9 October 2026.

Development and launch emails

With your consent, we store your email address, optional name and keyboard choice, and the date you joined. We use these for ArrangerX development and launch updates. The interest list is stored using Cloudflare.

We keep your registration while you remain subscribed and the list is in use. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing sales@arrangerx.com with “Unsubscribe”. This does not affect earlier use based on your consent.

AI chat and email support

Chat is optional. Your question and recent conversation are sent to Mammouth’s AI service and its selected model provider to generate a reply. Please do not enter passwords, payment details or other sensitive information. AI answers can be wrong.

ArrangerX stores chat questions, answers, a conversation identifier and any escalation for up to 90 days in Cloudflare so we can answer questions and improve support. A shortened hash of your IP address is used for a temporary chat rate limit and expires after two hours.

If you email us, we use your email address and the information you provide to handle your enquiry. Support correspondence is kept while needed to resolve the enquiry and maintain an appropriate record of the outcome. We rely on our legitimate interests in providing support and protecting the service. You can object to this use by contacting us.

Hosting, email and AI providers process information to deliver their services. Their processing may take place outside the UK. Their own privacy terms also apply; contact us if you need more information about a particular provider.

Website visits and the free computer check

Cloudflare hosts and protects this website and processes connection information such as your IP address. The website uses an axv cookie containing a random visitor identifier, lasting up to one year, to count returning visitors. Visitor records include first-visit time and approximate location supplied by Cloudflare, which may include country, region, city and approximate coordinates. This is not GPS location.

We use these records to understand visits and keep them while needed for website statistics. They are not linked to your interest-list email by the registration form. You can block or delete the cookie in your browser. Contact us to discuss or object to the use of visitor information.

The compatibility tools record an anonymous app-start count and their version. Download counts are also recorded. Diagnostic results and details of your CPU, memory and operating system stay on your computer and are not sent by the test.

Your choices and information rights

Email support@arrangerx.com to ask about your information, request access or correction, or ask for deletion. Depending on the circumstances, you may also request restriction or a portable copy, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. We may need enough information to identify the relevant record.

You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. You are welcome to contact Leigh first so we can try to put things right.

Why ArrangerX exists.

Five questions about the idea behind ArrangerX Version 1, the design choices that shape it, and why the music always comes first.

Why did you create ArrangerX?

I’ve been searching for decades for something I can simply use to play music live. Time after time I ended up buried in menus and completely distracted from the original intention: sitting down and playing music.

I’ve owned several arranger keyboards over the years, and they’re the only instruments I know where you can switch on, sit down and start playing without having to go through various settings first. ArrangerX grew out of wanting to preserve that experience in software.

What should ArrangerX feel like when you first launch it?

I want it to feel as though you’ve just switched on a flagship arranger keyboard. It should be like driving a very expensive car: all the technical complexity is there, but it’s hidden away under the bonnet.

It should work effortlessly and reliably. No complicated procedures. Just sit down and play.

Who is ArrangerX Version 1 for?

Anyone who wants a familiar, premium arranger experience at a fraction of the price.

Many players have built up SoundFont libraries and style collections over many years. ArrangerX gives those resources somewhere to stay alive and remain useful. Unlike a physical arranger keyboard, there’s effectively no limit to how many resources you can add.

ArrangerX Version 1 is purely about enjoying the performance side of making music. It is intentionally clean and simple. There are other features that live performers would benefit from, and those are something we intend to address separately in the future.

What makes ArrangerX different?

It is deliberately kept simple. It’s for people who want the minimum possible distraction and don’t want barriers getting in the way of making music.

Everything in ArrangerX has to justify its existence. If it can’t, it doesn’t belong in the software.

That is why you won’t find things such as VST hosting or a traditional sequencer in ArrangerX Version 1. There are already excellent tools for those jobs. ArrangerX has one job: let you play.

What do you hope somebody says after spending an evening with ArrangerX?

I hope they simply say that it was an enjoyable experience, and that for the whole time they were using it they were entirely focused on what really matters:

the enjoyment of the performance.
